Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) is the superior treatment for dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) because of its low recurrence rate.1 The use of toluidine blue (TB) stain in frozen sections of MMS serves as a valuable tool for DFSP tumors. Toluidine blue stain helps highlight DFSP tumor cells that are more difficult to visualize with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) alone.
