The arrival of tyrosine kinase inhibitors forever changed the treatment and outlook of chronic myeloid leukemia. However, most of the world's chronic myeloid leukemia patients live in economically challenged areas and have extremely limited access to the tyrosine kinase inhibitors and diagnostic assays needed to treat chronic myeloid leukemia. What can be done?
