To the Editor:
The article titled “Number of bacteria and time of coincubation with bacteria required for the development of Acanthamoeba keratitis” published in Cornea in March 2017 is really insight provoking and gives a possible hypothesis for development of Acanthamoeba keratitis. The role of the coincubation period and high dose of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in causing Acanthamoeba keratitis cannot be overlooked. However, there are a few issues that need to be addressed, and doing so will help further clarify the situation.
