Marzieh Alikhasi, DDS, MS, is an Associate Professor at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, School of Dentistry and Director of Postgraduate and International Affairs, Department of Prosthodontics and Implants. She serves as a Board Member of Research Centers of Implant, Dental, and Lasers in dentistry. She received her DDS from Tehran University. She is certified as a specialist in prosthodontics and implantology and completed a residency program in the School of Dentistry of Tehran. Dr. Alikhasi has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles in the prosthodontic and implant fields. Her research interest includes implant prosthodontics and has a special interest in accuracy of measurement in prosthodontics.
Jill Bashutski, DDS, MS, FRCD(C), ABP DIPLOMATE, is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan where she previously served as Acting Director of Graduate Periodontics and Director of Undergraduate Periodontics. Dr. Bashutski obtained her dental degree from Western University in London, Ontario. She later obtained her Certificate in Periodontology, Master of Science in Dentistry, and Lazzara Fellowship in Advanced Implant Therapy at the University of Michigan. She serves as a senior editorial review board member for Implant Dentistry and the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Research and has authored over 30 articles and 5 book chapters on periodontics and implant dentistry, including a first-authored article in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine. In 2015, she received the Junior Alumni of Distinction Award from Western University for her contributions to research and teaching. Dr. Bashutski also works in private practice in Regina, SK, Canada.
Erika Benavides, DDS, PhD, Dip. ABOMR, is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She is a Diplomate and Director of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR) and recently served as the Councilor for Communications and Chair of the Research and Technology Committee of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR). She received her DDS from the University of Valle in Cali, Colombia. She then completed an externship program in the Craniofacial Genetics Department at the Medical University of South Carolina. Subsequently, she completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) program at the University of Missouri—Kansas City (UMKC) and the Truman Medical Center. At UMKC, she also received her Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology training and a PhD in Oral Biology and Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Benavides has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the multidisciplinary aspects of diagnostic imaging. Her research interests include the integration of emerging technology to evaluate tissue properties and structure. Her faculty practice is dedicated to cone-beam computed tomography.
Uli Hauschild, CDT, obtained his degree in Dental Technology in Germany and successfully runs his laboratory in Sanremo, Italy since 1985. Specialized in esthetic and functional prosthesis, he serves as an international clientele and looks back on a founded scope of experience with different systems of computer-aided implantology. To share his knowledge, he gives lectures in postgraduate and master programs at the Universities of Padua, Genoa, Varese, and in Tuscany. He also publishes in various scientific and professional journals. He is part of the editorial board of Cone Beam Dentistry, the international magazine and is the senior editorial reviewer of Implant Dentistry, the International Journal of Oral Implantology.
