Abstract

A 5-year-old girl had intermittent fever for 4 months. A 99mTc MDP bone scintigraphy was performed to evaluate possible occult osteomyelitis, which revealed no bone lesion. However, abnormal MDP activity in the upper poles of both kidneys was noted, which was confirmed as pyelonephritis subsequently.
