Aspects of growth and development: endocrine and nonendocrine paradigms
The messages of the reviews put together for this issue of Current Opinion are old, but the information is new. These reviews discuss growth and development during puberty in children with gender dysphoria, as well as the effects of environmental chemical disruptors upon puberty. They examine the newest information about etiology and treatment of obesity in children. Endocrine aspects of both Down syndrome and Noonan syndrome are reviewed to illuminate our understanding of these relatively common genetic disorders.
