Ollier disease is a rare, nonhereditary, bone disorder characterized by benign enchondromas in the absence of vascular malformations (Mafucci's syndrome). Ollier disease's most serious complication is the transformation of an enchondroma into chondrosarcoma. For this reason, patients with Ollier disease need to be monitored closely.
