Letter From Editor: January 2018
This January 2018 issue of the IJGC is a most significant one in the history of our journal.
As you can see, Pedro T. Ramirez, MD, has joined the leadership of the editorial team as deputy editor in chief. Dr Ramirez was elected by ICGS and ESGO Councils for the position of editor in chief. He will assume that office beginning January 1, 2019.
It is with great pleasure that I welcome Pedro and look forward to our joint transition period, during which we will carry the responsibilities together.
At the last ESGO meeting in Vienna this past November, we presented our current progress and achievements by continual growth of the input factor (IF), readership, and revenues.
I am sure that Dr Ramirez will introduce new ideas, personnel, and mode of operation, which will advance our success even further. With your trust as authors and readers, the IJGC will reach new targets and greater recognition in the academic scientific community.
I would like to wish Dr Ramirez and his team the best in achieving his goals and ambitions.
A summary of my decade of editorship will be presented and published in the journal toward the 17th biennial conference of the IGCS in Kyoto, Japan, which is scheduled for September 14 to 16, 2018.
Once again, let me thank you for your continued support.
