Caroline B. Palmer (1872-1947) graduated from Cooper Medical School in 1906, and she was appointed Chief of Anesthesia at Cooper Medical College, which was soon to be renamed as Stanford Medical School, in 1909. (The first class of students entered Stanford's Medical Department in September 1909, and the final class of Cooper Medical College graduated in May 1912.)
