It is occasionally difficult to advance an endotracheal tube (ETT) into the trachea of a patient while using a GlideScope video laryngoscope (Verathon Medical Inc, Bothell, Wash). The authors of the current study proposed a technique, in which the GlideScope is removed, the ETT is introduced into the posterior pharynx, and the GlideScope is subsequently reintroduced into the pharynx until a good view of the glottic aperture is reacquired.
