Using a retrospective single-center database study, a risk-evaluation tool for elective surgery was devised. This neutral prognostic tool of in-hospital postoperative morbidity used commonly available data, such as sex, age, and list of medications to assess risk without depending on laboratory tests or complex diagnoses.
