Abstract

Although studies using endorphins may well prove valuable in our understanding of the etiology of schizophrenia and may even lead to new and effective psychotherapeutic agents, this discussant concludes that it is premature to suggest that either beta-endorphin or an analogue has been demonstrated to be an antipsychotic agent.
