Abstract

This is a reflection on the spiritual quest from the origin of the search—The Call—to attaining oneness with God. The stages of search and spiritual practices such as prayer, meditation, fasting, seclusion, and sacrifice are discussed to show the metamorphosis that takes place in the self-cognition process of the seeker from “acquired identity” to “essence.”
