Abstract

Discitis after intradiscal injection of chymodiaction is nearly always associated with an infection introduced by the needle tip. The authors report a patient with a postchemonucleolysis spondylodiscitis who recovered complete without surgery or antibiotics. The clinical findings and results of CRP and MRI suggested an aseptic spondylodiscitis due to chymodiactin.
