Aim

Time effect of the “Hospitalization” to the Donor approvals of the family at BURSA BKM region by year 2015

Method

Time effect of the “Hospitalization” to the Donor approvals are retrospectively searched for the 227 Brain Death Event with the T test methodbetween dates 01.01.2015 – 31.12.2015 in Bursa, Balikesir, Çanakkale, Yalova, Düzce, Bilecik provinces.

Findings

Within this study, 227 Brain Death Events are searched. As a result; % 50,70 of them is Male (131 person), % 42,30 is Female (96 person). Average age is 54,95 years. % 61,67 of the events is SAK-Intrakranial bleeding (140 person), % 21,58 of the events is BDH-CVO. (49 person), % 6,16 of the events is Hematom- Intrakranial. (14 person), % 10,57 can be reparted as others. % 58,14 of the events (32 person) had no disease. % 21,14 of the events (48 person) had HT and DM. Family Donor approval rate is % 35,24. Average Hospitalization for the Donors is 2‐3 days (% 42,65) and average hospitalization for the Brain Deads is 2-3 days (% 34,01). Time effect of the “Hospitalization” to the Donor approval is searched with T test method. P value 0,08 is. As p > 0,05, it can be said that there is no effect between “Hospitalization times” and “Donor approvals”.

Result

As a result of the study, it is seen that “Hospitalization times” does not effect the “Donor Approvals”. Other effects such as: culture; education; lack of donor information of the people; close contact to family during intensive care process, needs to be considered in the project.
