Abstract

Given the recent horsemeat scandal, the National Office for Animal Health's fourth food chain conference, held at the Royal Society in London on March 6, was particularly timely. Representatives from all areas of the food chain, from regulators through to retailers, came together to discuss some of the myths surrounding livestock production and how to change public opinion and communicate messages effectively. Georgina Mills reports.
